2012 ELTA-OWL AGM and a Web-Conference on Copyright in the Classroom

22 Sep 2012

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of ELTA-OWL will be held on 22 September 2012 between 12:30-13:30 in the VHS Bielefeld, Ravensberger Park 1, 33607 Bielefeld, Room 117 on the first floor. Everyone is welcome, but only paid up members of the association have voting rights. As there are light refreshments afterwards in order to provide adequate catering we ask everyone to register, there is no fee for this part of the day. At 14:00 (until approximately 17:30) we will have access to the Munich English Language Teachers Association (MELTA) Web-Conference on Copyright in the Classroom. This is being organised by Helen Strong (MELTA) and our old friend Carl Dowse The Web-Confernece will address some of the issues that English teachers face when using published materials (e.g. course books, audio CDs, text, videos and images from the internet, etc.). A panel of selected speakers, which include authors, publishers and materials developers, will present their perspectives (either in person or online) and try to answer your copyright questions. It will be held in cooperation with the IATEFL's Learning Technologies SIG (LT SIG) and will take place both live in Munich and online via IATEFL’s web-conferencing platform. We will be meeting in the room opposite the AGM room in Room 101 - which is jointly used by the Medienzentrum and the VHS.
